Thrivent Action Teams
Thrivent Financial has been supporting COOL Programs for over ten years through CARE ABOUNDS IN COMMUNITIES. Last fiscal year the program supported COOL Ministry fundraising events with $5,788 in supporting funds and $5,420 this fiscal year. This year marks the end of the CARE ABOUNDS IN COMMUNITIES program.
But Thrivent Members can support COOL in other ways and We Need Your Help!!!
Last year Thrivent Financial launched the THRIVENT ACTION TEAM program. What is an Action Team?
Thrivent Action Teams are member-led projects, fundraisers, service activities or educational events that can be completed within 90 days.
Here’s how it works:
• Identify a need in your community (COOL Programs have many needs and we can help you with ideas)
• Apply online for resources to launch your project/event by logging into your Thrivent Account
• Upon approval, gather friends, families, co-workers, etc. to participate or let us know you need help at COOL and we’ll work with you to create an Action Team that is so easy to do!
Each Action Team will receive a Thrivent Action kit that includes:
• A $250 VISA pre-paid card to jumpstart your event or donate directly to COOL!
• Thrivent Action Team T-shirts (COOL Food Pantries can always use those t shirts)
• Promotional Banner
• Invitations and thank you cards
Benefit Thrivent members are eligible to lead two Thrivent Action Teams per calendar year. That means that you as a Thrivent Member can collect a ‘cool’ $500 in gift cards to help support our mission! Associate Thrivent members are eligible to lead one Thrivent Action Team per calendar year.

Thrivent Choice
The Thrivent Choice is a charitable grant program and a benefit of membership that encourages members of Thrivent Financial to direct a portion of Thrivent Financial’s charitable funding to causes important to them. Thrivent Members can log into their online accounts and direct choice dollars from Thrivent to COOL Ministries (your charity of choice)But if you don’t use these dollars timely they go unused so log in today and see if you have choice dollars available!
Since the program’s inception in 2010, members have directed $49,488 to COOL, and we humbly thank each and every one of you for your gracious support!
